Roger Waters has launched an open call for a vocalist to front his son Harry Waters' upcoming tour: 'LEGACY – A Pink Floyd Show'. This follows Roger's decision to fire Harry from his solo touring band last year after 14 years of collaboration.
Roger states that while Harry has assembled a top-tier band, they are missing the "missing link": a voice that matches Roger's own range from 50 years ago. The production will focus on Pink Floyd's golden era. The planned tour kicks off next February and is set to run for 20 weeks.
Potential singers must prove they can handle everything from the soft delivery of 'Comfortably Numb' to high-pitched rock screams. Applications are open until April 30. While the Waters family reunites musically, a reunion with David Gilmour remains impossible, as Gilmour recently ruled out any future collaboration with Roger.
