The line-up for The Tribute – Battle of the Bands 2027 spans Dutch-language music, international pop, soul, country and rock. On 23 October 2026, producer Talpa announced the 13 original artists and groups whose music will be celebrated in the sixth season. These are the acts being paid tribute to, not necessarily the names of the competing tribute bands themselves.
Which artists are featured in season 6?
The competing bands will pay tribute to:
- The Beatles
- Céline Dion
- Billy Ocean
- Tina Turner
- Backstreet Boys
- Normaal
- De Dijk
- ABBA
- The Rolling Stones
- Amy Winehouse
- Johnny Cash
- Status Quo
- Dolly Parton
The selection covers a broad range of familiar music, from Dutch rock and pop to international classics. The competition will determine which tribute performances make the strongest impression.
When does The Tribute 2027 begin?
Season six premieres on Saturday, 16 January 2027 at 8:00 p.m. on Dutch broadcaster SBS6. Johnny de Mol returns as host, with Angela Groothuizen, Cesar Zuiderwijk and Spike on the judging panel. Two Best of The Tribute specials are scheduled for 2 and 9 January 2027, revisiting performances from previous seasons.
What is the prize?
The four highest-placed tribute bands earn a performance at The Tribute – Live in Concert on Thursday, 15 April 2027 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The television show focuses on much more than recognizable songs: vocals, musicianship and stage presence all contribute to the experience.
Looking to book a tribute act?
The show highlights the variety of music that tribute performers can bring to a live event. For corporate events, festivals and private celebrations, the right fit depends on the audience, venue and desired atmosphere. Participation in the TV show does not automatically mean an act is available through Tributeworld.
