Tribute to TOTO Announces Dutch Theatre Tour

Tributeworld Editorial

Tribute to TOTO is hitting the road. The Dutch tribute band, founded by Twan Dirks and Jeroen Teunissen from Deurne, has announced a full theatre tour across the Netherlands. Stops include Roermond, Papendrecht, Emmen and Zaandam.

Teunissen: "We'll play the well-known classics, but we've also added some musical surprises to the show." Dirks is especially looking forward to Venray and Roermond. "I've been going there as an audience member since I was a kid. Playing there myself is something special."

The band will also return to the cultural centre in Deurne in April. Dirks: "That's become an annual tradition by now."

Tribute to TOTO previously competed in The Tribute: Battle of the Bands on Dutch TV channel SBS6, narrowly missing the final. The dream of playing the Ziggo Dome is still very much alive. Teunissen: "It would be great to get there one day."

Dirks looks even further ahead: "Touring abroad would be amazing. And festivals like Nirwana Tuinfeest and Bospop — that would be incredible."

The band recently performed in front of over 6,000 people at the KOZ Festival in their hometown. Dirks: "Playing for that many people in your own village — that never gets old."
